The terms “We” / “Us” / “Our” / “Company” individually and collectively refer to “Maaya Software Solutions Pvt Ltd.” (MAAYA), and the terms “You” / “Your” / “Yourself” refer to users of the PoultryCare Services.
This Privacy Policy is an electronic record in the form of an electronic contract formed under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made thereunder and the amended provisions pertaining to electronic documents/records in various statutes as amended by the Information Technology Act, 2000. This Privacy Policy does not require any physical, electronic or digital signature.
This Privacy Policy is a legally binding document between you and Maaya Software Solutions Pvt Ltd. The terms of this Privacy Policy apply to your use of PoultryCare – Happy Farming, including our mobile applications, web applications, website at poultry.care, ERP platform and related services (collectively, the “PoultryCare Services”).
This document is published and shall be construed in accordance with applicable Indian laws and regulations governing privacy, electronic records, collection, use, storage, protection and transfer of personal information.
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the PoultryCare Services, you indicate that you understand and agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the PoultryCare Services.
By providing us your information or by making use of the PoultryCare Services, you consent to the collection, storage, processing and transfer of your Personal Information and Non-Personal Information by us as described in this Privacy Policy.
USER INFORMATION
To provide certain PoultryCare Services, we may collect information that you provide during registration, account setup, use of the platform, support interactions or other activities, including:
- Your name;
- Email address;
- Mobile number;
- Business or organisation name;
- Address and PIN code;
- Account credentials, such as username and password;
- Billing and payment-related information necessary to provide our services, where applicable;
- Business, farm, operational, transactional and other information entered or generated while using PoultryCare Services; and
- Other information you voluntarily provide to us.
The information supplied by users enables us to provide, operate, maintain, protect, support and improve the PoultryCare Services, communicate with users, provide customer support, develop new features and services, and meet applicable contractual, legal and regulatory obligations.
LOCATION DATA
The PoultryCare mobile application may request access to and collect location information from your device, including approximate or precise location, when you use features that require location information.
We use location data to provide and support location-enabled functionality within the PoultryCare Services, including recording or validating location-related business and field activities, associating operational records with relevant locations, improving service accuracy, troubleshooting, security and preventing misuse of the Services.
Location information may be associated with your PoultryCare account and relevant business activity records. We do not sell location data. We may share location information only with authorised users of the subscribing organisation, service providers acting on our behalf, or where disclosure is required by applicable law, and only to the extent necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
PoultryCare accesses location information only after the relevant device permission is granted. You may control location permissions through your device settings. Disabling location access may cause some location-dependent PoultryCare features to be unavailable or function incorrectly.
COOKIES AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To improve the responsiveness and usability of our web services, we may use cookies or similar technologies. Cookies may help us maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand general usage patterns and improve the performance of the PoultryCare Services.
Our systems may automatically collect limited technical information when you use the PoultryCare Services, such as IP address, browser or device information, access time, diagnostic information and usage logs. We use this information to deliver and secure our services, diagnose technical issues, measure traffic, prevent misuse and improve performance and usability.
LINKS TO OTHER SITES
The PoultryCare Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are outside our control. This Privacy Policy applies only to PoultryCare Services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content or security of third-party websites or services, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
INFORMATION SHARING
We do not share personal or sensitive personal information with third parties without the user's consent, except where sharing is necessary to provide the PoultryCare Services or in the following limited circumstances:
- When disclosure is requested or required by applicable law, court, governmental agency or competent authority, including for verification of identity, prevention, detection, investigation of cyber or security incidents, enforcement of legal rights, or compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- With authorised employees, group entities, contractors, cloud infrastructure providers, analytics, communication, support or other service providers that process information on our behalf and are required to handle such information in accordance with our instructions, contractual obligations and appropriate confidentiality and security measures.
- With authorised users or administrators of the organisation that subscribes to PoultryCare, where such access is necessary for the organisation's business operations and the functionality of the PoultryCare Services.
We do not sell personal or sensitive personal information collected through the PoultryCare Services.
INFORMATION SECURITY
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction. These measures may include access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where applicable, restricted administrative access, monitoring, backups and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed.
Information collected through the PoultryCare Services is stored using systems and infrastructure controlled by us or by authorised service providers acting on our behalf. Access to such systems is restricted to authorised persons who require access for legitimate operational purposes. However, no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technologies, legal obligations or data handling practices. The updated date displayed at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.
DATA RETENTION
We retain personal information and business data only for as long as necessary to provide the PoultryCare Services, fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet applicable legal, tax, accounting, security and regulatory requirements.
Data associated with an active PoultryCare account may be retained for the duration of the customer's subscription or contractual relationship with us.
When an account is terminated or a valid deletion request is received, personal data associated with the account will be deleted or anonymised from our active systems within 90 days, unless certain information must be retained for applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, contractual, security, fraud-prevention or compliance purposes.
Information retained for such purposes will be kept only for the period reasonably required for those purposes and will not be used for unrelated purposes.
Backup copies may remain in secure backup systems for a limited period until they are automatically overwritten or deleted according to our backup retention procedures.
ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION
PoultryCare users may request deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time.
Users may submit a deletion request:
- Through the Delete Account / Account Deletion option available within the PoultryCare application, where applicable; or
- By sending an email to info@poultry.care with the subject “PoultryCare Account Deletion Request” from their registered email address.
The request should include sufficient information for us to identify and verify the relevant PoultryCare account and the authority of the requester.
After verification of the request, we will initiate deletion of the user's account and associated personal data. Deletion will normally be completed within 90 days, except for information that we are required to retain for applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, contractual, security, fraud-prevention or compliance purposes.
Account deletion is permanent. Once the deletion process has been completed, the deleted account and associated personal information may not be recoverable.
For organisations using PoultryCare with multiple employees or authorised users, deletion of an individual user's account does not necessarily result in deletion of business records owned or controlled by the subscribing organisation. Such records may include farm, production, inventory, sales, purchase, accounting, operational or compliance records and may be retained in accordance with the organisation's contractual relationship with PoultryCare and applicable legal or regulatory requirements.
